In 2009, Arizona Commission for Postsecondary Education recognized Helping Hands for Single Moms with a distinguished state-wide award as an educational leader assisting single mom college students.
2008 KAET Be More Awards
Helping Hands was recognized in 2008 by KAET – TV Channel 8 at the “Be More Awards” honoring unsung heroes of Arizona’s nonprofit community. Helping Hands won the “Judges Choice” award for the non-profit that demonstrates “original and extraordinary effort….” It was a distinguished award as the programs of 130 non-profits were considered.
2008 Blue Ribbon Organization
In January, 2008, Helping Hands received the “Blue Ribbon Organization” award from the Collaboration for a New Century. As a Blue Ribbon Organization, Helping Hands received special project assistance from an advisory team consisting of professionals from the local business and academic community.
