The expansion to Dallas sponsored by…………


The application below is for low-income single mothers living in Dallas or Collin counties, Texas, attending a college or university.  The scholarship is competitive.  If you are just starting your first semester of college classes, it is best to wait until you have completed at least one full semester (of nine or more credit hours) before applying.

Program applicants must:

  • Be a U.S. citizen or legal resident

  • Reside in Dallas or Collin counties, Texas

  • Have at least one child living with them that is under the age of 11

  • Have an adjusted gross income at or below 150% of the federal poverty guidelines

  • Be legally single or divorced and not living with a domestic partner

  • Be enrolled in a university or college degree program (online acceptable)

  • Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA and nine credit hours per semester

  • Be willing to participate in the organization’s Single Mom College Community meetings (6 meetings per year)

  • Agree to follow program guidelines
